Hi friends! I’m going to show you how to paint these cute watercolor bookmarks! I’m going for a fall theme here, so I mixed up some warm autumn colors and I’ll show you how I did that in just a moment.

To get started, here are here are the supplies you'll need

  • watercolor paper (I'm using cold pressed by Arches)
  • some round watercolor brushes in various sizes (I'm using Princeton Neptune and Silver Black Velvet)
  • watercolor paint (I'm using different brands including Holbein and Winsor & Newton.) My colors include red (I used Windsor red, but a cadmium red or alizarin crimson would be lovely too), a warm yellow like Naples, or Winsor yellow (more neutral), yellow ochre, a brown like burnt Sienna or one of the umbers, and a blue ( could use ultramarine or cobalt and mix with your yellow + yellow ochre for an olive green).
  • I just used some tape and a ruler to create these rectangles that measure approximately 2.5 x 7 inches. However, you can make your own size, it’s up to you!.

Once everything is completely dry, just remove your tape and then cut them out!
