Abstract Floral Paintings
'To plant a garden is to believe in tomorrow' I love this quote by Audrey Hepburn. It inspires my work in the garden as well as capturing the light and essence of the flowers I love to grow. I am excited to announce my latest collection of floral acrylic paintings, all inspired by the things I grow in this sacred outdoor space.

I wanted the capture the soft fluttery petals and subtle shifts in light in this original peony painting called 'Duchesse'. This piece measures 18x24 inches painted on canvas and comes with a maple frame.
A little about me
I'm an artist from Minnesota where the winters are long and summers are short and sweet. But we make the most of it by scattering seeds each spring in the garden. By July we've got a lush and colorful garden filled with zinnias, coneflower, Black Eyed Susan's, and a variety of veggies too. In the garden, my kids learn the wonder of growing something spectacular from one tiny seed, and how it benefits the birds and bugs (and people too).
